The new site

I have been interested since the 1990s in what people can do, both as individuals and through organisations and societies, to produce better outcomes.

Last year I realised that it could be very effective to use an evolutionary lens to understand how outcomes arise. I think there are three ways that this can be useful:

  • analysing how outcomes have arisen in the past (OE analysis)
  • helping to develop strategy through an analysis of the internal environment and the selection environment, and then deciding what to continue and what to do new  (OE strategy)
  • creating systems that go through an evolutionary process of selecting actions and strategies that produce better outcomes (OE design).

There’s a huge amount of material that I want to add to the site. However, rather than providing a fully built framework, I will be developing this website step-by-step, starting with the fundamentals and then moving on to the practical applications.
